Thanks for starting yet another thread on this nonsense.
I'm sorry, but I can't believe that you really think that this is nonsense. It is not nonsense when you make a person feel unsafe. Take away the fact that she is a vet and that these were Auburn football players, and it is still wrong. It would be considered wrong what they did no matter who she is or who they are. On al.com it stated that she was sexually molested in the military, and that is why she has the issues that she does. With that being said, it could explain why she acted the way that she did when approached by these young men. She asked them not to harass her dog, and that's when they started calling her names. Come on, how would you feel if that were your daughter?
Something just does not seem right. People don't usually approach a dog that they do not know and try to pet it unless they ask the owner if the dog would bite, so frankly I just don't believe that part of the story. If she was minding her own business, what right did they have to approach her or her dog?
If that were my daughter, we would still be in the University President's office with the Coach present. I don't think that the players should be suspended or punished. I'm just saying that this would be an opportunity for the University to make a point to get the message across to male students that they need to respect their female students and you certainly don't need to resort to name calling.
