Your post kind of proves my point?

We will be back to kick your arse next year. We lost a QB 2 RBs and 4 WRs to the NFL and we are having a tough year because its hard to rebuild from that.

I'm melting, but you're a moron if you can't see CAP has the ball while laying on the ground. It'd be like trying to deny the blatant hold on the Garrett Vine everyone keeps posting.

You didn't play awful, A&M just owned your asses in your own house

I think the choke job and the fumble recovery by CAP are both equally crystal clear IMHO.

The ball was lying on the ground, the Auburn player clearly put his arms out around encircling the space around the ball but he couldn't have had possession if an A&M player just reached in and picked it up.

Personally I was sure it was going to be Auburns ball and overturned. But I am not certain either way was a bad call. The whole "ruling on the field" is what swung it our way.

Oh my God really? You lost players to graduation/NFL? That never happens to any other team!

The defense had at least one bust on like 80% of snaps they played, mostly in the secondary. There was a big time lack of execution on that side of the ball.

They played awful, and A&M played well. Not sure what you want me to say.

It appears Auburn got shafted by the refs. I knew it.

THE INEXPLICABLE FUMBLE RECOVERY
Auburn appeared poised to score the go-ahead touchdown with less than three minutes left against Texas A&M, but an indecisive Nick Marshall tried to retrieve the ball at the mesh point after Cameron Artis-Payne thought the quarterback had relinquished possession.

Artis-Payne jumped on the ensuing fumble, but Julien Obioha emerged from the pile with the ball and the officials awarded possession to the Aggies.

Considering the video seems to show Artis-Payne possessing the ball on the ground, it still seems odd that Auburn didn’t get the ball.

quote:

LENIENT OFFICIALS, PART II
Texas A&M safety Howard Matthews collided with Auburn receiver Melvin Ray on a second-quarter completion that the officiating crew initially ruled targeting.

Matthews appeared to lead with his shoulder, but at least one camera angle makes it seem like his helmet made contact with Ray’s. The officials waived off the targeting call upon review and allowed Matthews to stay in the game.

You're right about that. That's what made me uneasy about it is that the evidence has to be "indisputable" as we all know, and that's a high standard to overrule a call.

Still think it should have been our ball, and I think the replays offered that standard of evidence, but that's really a matter of opinion.

Name one other team that has Been in national championship contention after losing the entire starting lineup of skill players to the NFL in the most difficult conference in the league. But this isn't about LSU it's about auburn fans being assholes and you guys are just proving the point over and over and over again.

Yeah, and Laquon Treadwell was down because his ankle was touching.

You know how many times I've seen the refs review to see who recovered a fumble vs who comes out of the pile with it? 0. It was a garbage review in the first place.

I don't understand what makes that a garbage review? They wanted to make sure who recovered the fumble, which you know, is kind of important in deciding who had possession of the football with under three minutes in the fourth quarter in a three point game.

I've never seen that review made. They universally accept the "whoever come out of the pile with it" rule in every single game I've ever watched. It sucks CAP is a pussy and can't hold onto the ball I guess.

Must really suck watching a pussy that can't hold onto the ball dominate a supposedly good defense a week ago.

But believe me, I understand how frustrating that must have been after sitting through last night.

It is odd the melt from a game last week would spill over into a thread which in theory should be about Auburn melting.

You know... if you hold onto the ball then there is no fumble.

If there is no fumble, then there is no fumble recovery.

If there is no fumble recovery, there isn't shite to review.

The #3 team in the nation fumbled twice from poor execution, at home, in the last 3 minutes of the game. Maybe if A&M hadn't rung up 35 points in the first half then those fumbles don't matter anyway. You guys won TOP by 5 minutes and still gave up 450+ yards to a freshman QB starting his first SEC game which was also his first SEC road game AT Auburn. You guys played with fire once too often. The fumbles are a big part of the story but there is much more to it.
