How will Auburn move the ball?

Their DL does not have much experience and we should be able to pound the ball. (The passing situation is just wait and see.. doesn't look good )

Hopefully our DL can get a good amount of pressure of him to allow TJ/Tre Williams to come up on him. Look for Darryl Williams to spy him. Maybe Rudy Ford?

I'd assume about 15%.

Although on further reflection year 4 seems to be when Auburn coaches who go to NC games early in their tenure crash. So if that pattern repeats the odds are 0%.

The only way they don't lose by more than 10 IMO is if Waston gets hurt. I'm not an expert on AU football but from everything I've read how is AU going to score any points?

Things in our favor:

Night game at JHS. And later than most night games too. EDIT: for Clemson this is a 9pm game since they're on eastern time.
From a preparation standpoint film from last season will help us more than them.
They've got a young, inexperienced D line that was dealt a blow when it was announced Austin Bryant will miss the game.
The pressure is on them - they have everything to lose and AU everything to gain.

One thing I don't think people are looking at much is that it's the first game: anything can happen.

We have them at the right time; 8 o'clock game, that place is going to be rowdy (myself included), and offenses are never at their best first game of the season.

I'm hoping they'll be pretty rusty

If Watson would've signed with AU, we'd be saying what are the chances that Dumbo could come in and upset Malzahn? With Robinson, I would feel a lot better about this game. Now I'm not so sure, but I do like our D and O line better than theirs. But they have the advantage at the skill positions. Praying JF3 finds his inner Michael Vick.

Better question:

Will Auburn score against Clemson?

30%

It's a single digit chance. Clemson has the most dangerous QB in the country and AU's defense is suspect. Steele can sell out to stop Watson and AU could hang in there for 45-50 minutes with a chance to win late. Without several CU turnovers and/or special teams meltdowns (which they are prone to), I don't see AU staying within two scores.

Another thing in our favor is special teams. Last year Clemson's were awful, especially with kickoff returns and punt returns.

Watson would be a devastating loss for Clemson's title hopes but Kelly Bryant sliding into the lineup would still result in a double digit loss for Auburn. Surrounded by playmakers everywhere on the offense and dat boy good
