Why do you think they are adding an additional rivalry game? The SEC wants to improve our basketball reputation.

fricking a team over by making them play an RPI killer twice every year isn't going to help improve the reputation of the league.

Most top teams are going to play other top teams more often.

Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida all playing each other twice is good for the conference.

Baby steps. We played 2 or 3 teams with sub 300 RPI's last year and only 2 that were in the top 100 during the OOC.

No it isn't, its only good for Kentucky, Tennessee, and Florida.

Home and home vs Missouri, Ole Miss, Ms St, South Carolina, and Tenn is on Arkansas' schedule next year, two RPI killers and Ole Miss twice isn't for the good of the conference.

Those teams shouldn't be forced to carry the dead weight of the conference. More top teams challenging each other is better for multiple things outside of just their own RPI's.

Have you heard anything from the the Bama side about a potential 2 day tourney in Birmingham starting in the 15-16 season? Pearl said earlier that he was going to try to work with Grant to bring in 2 decent opponents to play there.

It only hurts if you play a weak OOC schedule or you lose to one of them. What does your OOC schedule look like this year?

Hopefully Grant won't be around long enough to see this go through, but I would love to see it.

We are having to change up the OOC because of being fricked by SEC scheduling under late notice, so it isn't finalized.

@ Clemson
@ SMU
@ Iowa St.
vs Dayton

Are the "big" names released so far.

That's a respectable start. Are Wade and Clarke the only 2 real losses from last years team?

As far as consistent contributors, yes.

Scott and Haydar also graduated and Wagner transferred.

Durham (JUCO) and Beard were added and will run the point allowing Madden to play more of the 2 and 3 at times.

Babb was added and is a great perimeter shooter, should replace both Wade and Haydar's offensive production.

Thompson is a forward who was added, but it will be Clarke's leadership that will missed most, one of the juniors/seniors is going to have to step up to fill that role.

I'm glad Scott is gone. He might not have done anything against anybody else but he had 2 or 3 monster games against us during his career.
