Why do you even want access to any other board besides UGA? Never understood that.

I'd want access to the UGA board just talk Falcons away from the taint fans.

Because since I was in late elementary school I have been in love with college football. Obviously UGA is my team, but I like talking about the sport itself with other fanbases too, which is why I joined TD in the first place. I post on several other team boards about football, basketball, their towns, whatever is relevant to UGA at the time. Never had one complaint and have never made a disparaging comment.

What I've never understood is why so many of the posters on your board think that by even entertaining the thought of others posting will turn your board into the SEC Rant. And yes, that's what they think judging by posts on the subject. What they fail to realize is that the people who are actually given access will have access based on the merit of their reputation. If 5 or 6 knowledgeable, reputable posters post on your board, what's the harm in that? It's not like I (or anyone else) is going to start our foray on the board by flaming and trolling.

ETA: You still have mods who have the best interest of the board at heart. If someone gets out of line, they can instantly be booted. There really isn't any downside to trying this little experiment for a few days on a trial basis. 2 Auburn fans post on our board and they are just fine. I don't see why a few posting on your board would be any different.

It's not that I think it'll be the SEC Rant part II. I would just rather have a place that's only Auburn fans (it's the only quality Auburn board now).

I understand your point of view and I respect that opinion. But when UGA and AU are playing each other, in any sport, and I want to discuss that matchup with people who actually know about auburn...the AU board would by far be the best place to do that. Posting anything about a specific matchup on the SECR will be met with a few legit responses and a shite ton of other fans making jokes or getting off topic.

Just in the last month or so I've posted on multiple other team boards about impending basketball matchups between UGA and that team. I recognize the AU board for what it is...a place full of AU fans that know a ton more about AU than anywhere else on TD. Therefore...if I have a question about AU or want to discuss something AU related..I'd like to be able to do that there.

I'm not gonna come out guns blazing starting threads about gene chizik and cam or some shite.

Well I don't give a shite what you want. You have to tell me what the appeal is to me...

That's the only way you'll sway anybody's opinion.

It's no different than a tight-knit group of best friends that have known each other for years bringing in a new coworker into the group. Some of the closed minded ones will simply say "But he's unfamiliar! I don't know him! He's an outsider, not one of us!" While the others can recognize that he's a normal guy that would fit in well.

Unfamiliarity =/= shithead
