While I would love to beat LSU and I think LSU is susceptible to a couple loses this year, I just don't think we are there. Our defensive line isn't good enough to control the run and our linebackers aren't good enough to back them up. Our secondary is the most improved unit on the field for Auburn and possibly the SEC this year so far and I think they can cover the receivers but not lock them out completely.

Our offense is improved but that is saying that a turd doesn't stink as bad after you flush it.

I hope we keep it close and have a chance to win in the fourth and I would be ok with that. I would be ecstatic if we could pull off the win.

From AU's 247 site:

Last years game against LSwho proves anything can happen. I think this team has a chance to make the W happen. It will be a hard road and I will be proud of the team as long as they put their heart into it!

If it was towards the end of the year, I'd say it'd be closer. Marshall is progressing well, and the D is definitely improving when Kris Frost and Co. are in the game. As it is the 4th game, I think LSU wins.

LSU 31
AU 21

Of course this hinges on Jake Holland not playing. If Holland starts and plays more than Frost, LSU by 3 tds.

ETA: And for those predicting 4 TD victories, you're retarded.

I'm happy with where Auburn is...and I think the team will continue to improve throughout the season. However, our problems in the DL and at LB mean that we aren't ready for the likes of LSU, UGA or Bama. Not this year. I hope that we challenge them...hope maybe we can surprise someone. However, what we HAVE to do is win the games where I know we will be competitive...Arky and Ole Piss. I think TAMU is way ahead of Auburn at this point..but the degree to which they 1. Suck at D 2. Don't, CAN'T respect Auburn....tells me that Auburn is going to have a good shot with them. I like our chances better with them than against LSU, UGA or Bama.

Well to be fair, they had one of their worst offenses so far under Miles. For AU to have the chance at the upset, Marshall will have to get some touch on the long throws off the play action and Kris Frost will have to start over Holland (fingers crossed).

LSU wins. I am impressed, but not surprised by Auburn right now. I think they play em tough, real tough, but LSU depth and experience wins out.

LSU blows the doors off this game early but it doesn't show on the scoreboard, like with TCU. Game ends up being closer than it seems like it should be; LSU by 10-14

Sounds about right. I will say though...LSU may be getting ahead of themselves a little bit. I mean, TCU's no good and they haven't played anyone else. I will be very surprised if the game isn't competitive.
