Tubbs was still getting fired if they went to a bowl game that year?

He was one of their more successful coaches. He was canned for one bad season. I thought it was over-reaction for what was going on at Alabama with the Saban hiring.

When driving back from Dallas we were driving through Shreveport. I looked out the window and said "Look at that stadium, that is where Auburn will spend their bowl season". I am starting to think I have lied to my friends.

I don't like Auburn and don't mind seeing them lose but it gets bad for me at this point. I see Frazier as a kid instead of an Auburn player at this point and I can;t help but feel sorry for him. I am ready for game to be over.

i agree. he's just a kid, and this is not going to be good for him

Good for the Moo State fans. Very few teams with a losing history like MSU get that type of fan support. I'm glad to see them improve year by year.

Makes the West that much more interesting.

That's exactly what it was.

We wouldn't have won the NCG with Tubberville though, if Chizik is canned this year it was all worth it.

That and him and Jay Jacobs never got along.

Well, he never really got along with any higher ups in the Athletic Department after JetGate.

He predicted Auburn to have a good season. I predicted they'd start 1-4, 2-3 at best. He was just trying to kiss up until he had to finally melt down on them, although this man still, to this day, knows nothing about Xs and Os, even though he's had the chance to learn something. He used to look at me charting games like it was Chinese algebra. The dude could have gone somewhere, but decided to just stir the pot his entire life. Hell, even Franklin could have taught him something when he used him for stories. Finebaum was the last one chosen on the playground and I really think he to this day holds a grudge. I also think his momma didn't give him enough attention as a child.

AWESOME. Well Done LarryDavid. High 5's to ya

The Auburn's waterboy must have accidentally mixed in Dyer's stash into the water.

I thought Tubbs should have been fired much sooner and have been vocal about it. His bullshite contract negotiations every year did nothing but hurt our recruiting and in the end, he would have gotten worse each year until his contract finally ran out. People claim that Tubbs was a good man, but he held jetgate over the heads of Jacobs to his last day.

Timeout really? I am all for coaching kids up, but get this over with and talk to them on the way home. Goodness this is a train wreck.

I still don't think he did enough on the recruiting trail.

Shula still found a way to get good players.
