You are completely missing my point.

K-State =/= LSU
Auburn =/= Iowa St

The correct answer to the question
"Will LSU beat Auburn if Auburn plays like they did versus K-State."

is

"error, invalid syntax"

someone here gets it. All you have to do is look at all the top 5 teams that have fallen to lesser opponents on the road on Thursday nights. Things get weird in those games

You'll get yours on Saturday. Don't worry about what Auburn did or didn't do against K-State.

I'm not worried. I'm just curious as to what type of team we are truly facing Saturday.

Then this is an effort in futility.

Your decision is made. Or are you just trying to gauge the margin by which LSU will win?

I'm not worried about what happened Vs KSTATE. I'm using it as a data set to analyze the future game between our two teams. This is quite common in sports analytic.

It's week 5. Our guess is as good as yours.

What we know: we beat Arkansas soundly. We went on the road on Thursday night in perfect storm conditions for a loss and came away with a win. Our OL is suspect. Our defense has raised the bar and the secondary has looked fantastic.

Trying to get anything more out of this thread is pretty useless. You've clearly formed your own opinion of Auburn already by watching us at K-State.

You noticed a marked improvement when LSU played the 4th worst defense in all of college football. Some of yall have drunk way too much kool-aid, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Jennings on the field this weekend.

I'm not saying he's super man. I just compare his stats and Jenning's against the same team and notice a marked improvement. Would you not agree?

No doubt. I'm not sure had Jennings played the entire game the score would have been much different. I think you have to go with Harris at this point, but I won't be shocked to see AJ at all in the future. I'm not sure LSU is much improved since the State beatdown. NMSU is no gauge whatsoever.

I would be fairly happy with the result if I was an Auburn fan. You did not play to your best, you played a team in their stadium that was fired up to beat you, and you still pulled out a win. Not every game is going to be an immaculate work of art where you score on every play and hold the opposing team to minus 3 billion yards.

K-State is an odd little program. They can look like roadkill in one game and then come out and stomp a mudhole in a top ten team the next week.

AU left 24 points on the field. Kstate left 16. AU led about 54/60 minutes.

AU should have won by more.

Don't need any improvement from that to beat LSU this year.

Why has fumbling been such an issue for you guys? 9 fumbles so far this season.

If auburn plays it's best and lsu plays their beat I think auburn wins. As much as I would like lsu to be the better team they aren't. If you watched the kstate game open minded yeah auburn could have lost that game with a couple plays but the fact is they didn't. They had a tremendous amount of dropped balls and they game could have a bigger win for auburn. And I don't care what anyone says a win on he road in little manhattan at night is never easy. They certainly get credit for that. And as far as lsu we were thoroughly whipped by miss state up the middle. And as far as I know Harris might be the real deal but he doesn't play middle linebacker. Their win on the road is much better than our loss at home.

This is not a good matchup for us. Can we win, of course. But we will need to win the field position battle and get a few turnovers. We aren't exactly lights out at auburn recently so there is that also. It's a tough place to play.

Option teams will put the ball on the ground more often as a rule of thumb. It is one of the prices you pay to have such a potent weapon.

While you're discussing all of AU's perceived problems why don't you tell us a little about LSU? I'm sure you could go for days on that loss to State at home.. Enlighten us with what makes your team terrible

Well the answer to your question in the topic coupled with your attention to fumbles, is yes.

Our defensive and offensive lines are my biggest problem with this team. The offensive line was supposed to be a strength coming into the season, but they're under-performing. I think the offensive line can find its stride, but I fear the defensive line is going to stink it up all year.

The other obvious mentionable would be the quarterback play. While I know Harris is a true freshman, I think he is a vast improvement over Jennings going into Auburn as the starter.
