Half of the LSU graduates with good degrees (business/engineering) go to Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Nashville, etc. It's a pattern that has killed this state. I don't blame people for going to bigger cities because it's higher pay, less crime, no income tax in Texas, among other things. It's the reason I'm staying in Louisiana. I've interviewed with dozens of companies, but told all of them I intend on staying in LA. It may be a bad move career wise but I want to make my money in LA, spend my money in LA, and make LA a much better state than it currently is. It should be better, it can be better, and it will be better by the time I have kids and raise them here. I'm passionate as shite about this state, not because it's the best but because it should be infinitely better than it currently is. I want to help make that happen.

But to your point, I was just talking about LSU vs A&M athletics, mainly football

You would actually be surprised, there are a handful of very good degrees/specializations at LSU. Employers from all over the country pay a shite ton of money to recruit LSU students that go through the internal auditing program. It's probably the best in the country. But I'm sure every school has little niches like that. My LSU degree isn't as good as others, but that's hardly a criticism. I could have gotten into A&M had I applied, but I decided to save money. I get paid to go to school. Thanks TOPS
