really surprised with the offense rankings after 5 games, is there a correlation with Mazzone's offense affecting Chavis defense? TOP has ATM at 111, that is pretty bad for a defense to have to be out on the field that long.

A&M v. PVAMU - 680+ yards. 67 points. They got like 150 total yards. 0 points.

It's a huge anomaly. You have to look at stats removing that high school game.

Is Les Miles the new head coach at A&M?

Your one score loss to us is going to look pretty good for you at the end of the year. Now say thank you

TAMU's starters are SEC Championship level. However, to win an SEC Championship, you need your 2-deep and 3-deep personnel to be championship level as well. The Natty teams from Bama, LSU, Auburn and Florida over the last 10+ years had second and third string personnel rotating in who would start on 90+ teams in the country, but were backups for these championship teams.

TAMU might pull this off, but the biggest area of concern for TAMU down the stretch is the last 3/8ths of the games, when endurance and depth are the separation between winning and losing a championship.

LSU was never half that bad at TOP under Les I don't think.

Time of possession vs Arkansas was pretty bad through 3 quarters. I admit I was getting concerned about our D but we seem to have enough depth. Last few years we would have been skroooood.

also a surprise based on overall offense is how middle of the road ATM is with the red zone offense, only ranked 68 even with the high school team factored in, not very good. The good thing is they have two more high school games later in the season but man 5 of the last 7 games are going to be the real season. I like Sumlin and the Aggies but the real test for the Aggies lie ahead.

I agree.

Our season comes down to the Bama and Ole Miss games, IMO. Gotta at least split 'em to have a shot.

They beat Prairie View a&m who would lose to most high schools.

Big deal

Tennessee is one of the best 3rd and 4th quarter offenses in the country. We seem to put more steam on when the opposition starts to slow down. It's an intriguing match up

I'm not concerned about TOP--number of plays run is much more of an indicator. But, I'm with you on red zone efficiency being a negative for A&M. We've had a hard time putting it in the endzone from close range, so we probably will need a long range score or two if we're going to beat UT.

Im surprised as well. Who would have though we'd be #2 rushing offense in the SEC 5 games in?

1. You're an altar.
2. Our offense is light years better than it has been the last two years. Mazzone has been very good.
3. TOP is the most overrated stat in football. Tell me about the number of snaps, not about the TOP. We're getting 77 offensive snaps a game and defending 79 snaps a game.
