But, but...the defense is going to be legit this year...and Eason has a cannon-arm...we fixed our o-line...they were so young last year...and returning starters...

We haven't been hyped since 2014 that I can recall.

We were never predicted to win the East the year prior. We were picked 2nd and finished second. Last year was the first year in over a decade we were actually picked to win the East.

That's because UGA is generally the safest pick to at least not be terrible. Even if we don't win, that pick isn't going to blow up in the writer's face.

Was curious so I looked it up
2016- UGA was picked 3rd in the division, finished 3rd
2015- UGA was picked 1st in the division, finished 3rd
2014- UGA was picked 2nd in the division, finished 2nd
2013- UGA was picked 1st in the division, finished 3rd
2012- UGA was picked 1st in the division, finshed 1st

He's only been a HC for 2 years. However, 1 of those years he only lost one game, and that was on the road without his starting QB. Last year, agreed they got up for their big games and didn't have their guys ready week to week. Some of that may have been from all the talk about him leaving, or it may have just been an below average job to finish the season.
13 means to me they go 9-3 in the regular season. Losses to USC, OU, and one other, maybe Okie State. no one else is really that good so I could see them doing something like that

I think it stacks. Each additional slap is like a multiplier. I'll fact check, though.
