Richt never took Georgia to the NC despite his 2002 and 2007 teams being legit types to win it all.

Kirby was a mere moment away from a NC in a much more difficult system.

Are you standing up for an opposing fanbase?

I can live with that as long as he is not Gus 2.0.

meh, Gus can actually beat bama.

But Kirby doesn't average 5 losses a year, so there's that, too.

Face it. You can make fun of Kirby all you want, but he is still head and shoulders above Gus.
Don't be jelly.

Kirby hasn’t really been challenged in the East.

Or by Auburn, either, for that matter. In fairness, Kirby would probably get more respect if we had a tougher permanent west opponent. LSU, maybe would probably be a much better matchup. They've proven they can play and beat Georgia.

I disagree. Kirby loses as many big games as Gus. The West is just a bigger beast than the East. Swap Divisions and I would bet money UGA doesn't make the SECCG.

We still going with this shite?
East had a better record against the west. This narrative is old and tired just like the claim that Richt and Kirby are the same.

Only because Gus doesn't make it to big games. I mean, when you average 5 losses a year, how many of your games can be considered big?

Not this past year, it wasn't. I mean, if you want to play in the playoffs Auburn will have to win the tough games. They haven't shown they can do that yet.

Since we won the SEC last year, I would bet money you would be wrong. now. How do we prove who is right?

It's not like we didn't play for the National Championship.

When will Aubbies realize they are stuck with Gus forever?

West has also been down and you could say Bama benfits from an easier path these last few seasons. You could also say Bama created all the coaching changes that created this.

Saban is the GOAT, hard to be a peer to him.

They whined and complained that Gus wouldn't let his OC's call the plays because he always took over and called them. Now he has announced he is going to call all the plays next year and they are excited.

That’s great. But it doesn’t explain why Kirby is 4-5 against the West with 3 blowout losses and 15-3 against the East. Why is that?

You realize last year if you were in the West you wouldn’t have even played in the SEC championship game?

Those games were meaningless to both teams. It was clear that neither put much effort into it knowing they could make the playoffs either way. Congrats.

And still lost the game that mattered. you know, the one that would have gotten them into the playoffs?

Cool. We still had a better record verses the west, did we not? I mean, isn't that what we are talking about?

Now, if you want to make bowl records be the deciding factor, then I guess the East was head and shoulders better than the west last year.

You don't know that. the whole conference lineup would have been different...schedules would have been different...intensity of the games would have been different. Surely you understand that you can't make a blanket statement like that.

Yeah, rival games are always "meaningless". Get that BS out of here.
