In Sedona currently
Was out there for a conference once with a weekend lay over. Did the Sedona tour with the group. Beautiful scenery and neat little sidewalk cafes and such in town?? My choice was that or a jeep desert tour. I picked Sedona....

What's crazy is these painted desert mountains cliffs are covered in snow. It's such a weird contrast

I was there in the summer and that's the pretty part of the Sedona mountains. The red hue with the sun on them. We didn't see snow until we made the loop and came back by way of Flagstaff - I think.

What was the Indian tribe that burrowed into the sides of the mountains? I don't think anyone ever explained how they got to their abodes.

Hopi or Maricopa. We stopped by "Montezuma's Castle" (not actually a castle or related to Montezuma) on the way. A national park with a really cool pueblo built into the side of the cliff
