I disagree. Bama's D was far superior last season, especially the pass D. Your offense is more balanced this season but you guys had a better running game last season.

Like they were totally trying to avoid that.

Alabama fans are going to go into full meltdown mode when they don't win the NC. They believe at 3-0 they've got it wrapped up, no team in college football can compete with them, no NFL team can compete with them, the only NFL team that could have competed with them was the 85 Bears. But in the end Bama pulls away and wins 21-6

Based on what I've seen so far I'm going to say no. The offense is better yes but the D doesn't look like the immovable rock that it was last year which IMO is a more reliable thing for a team to have.
