week after Army Navy, basically 2 weeks after the Conference Championship Game Weekends.

Players are already out of school and it would be the only thing going on, then the finals should be the first Saturday on or after Jan 1.

They are really dragging this thing out.

I wish they would stick the national championship on New Year's day after the Rose Bowl and go with semis before Christmas. Unfortunately, everyone is greedy and this will only lead to eight teams instead of four.

Yea all the shitty bowls games are early on and have their own day. Then when the good bowls start they jam them all in a few days and some are own at the same time.

I think Army/Navy shouldn't be a week after every one else is done.

This game has historically been that way. Before the conference championship games started it was the only game after thanksgiving weekend before bowls. Now they moved it back a week so it can stand alone.

I like it. I watch it every year. The seniors on those teams are going fight for our country soon. Let them have there one last time to be the center of attention by themselves.Any other week during the season nobody would watch it. It's not the best brand of football but those guys are giving it their all for pride alone.

If they want to keep it that way, then they should both be ineligible to be in the playoff, and games against them should not count toward strength of schedule.

Think about all of the crappy bowl games that got their own primetime spot and then think about how the Peach Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, etc. started in the morning and how the Playoff games were on NYE. Notre Dame - Ohio State should've been a primetime game.

If they go to eight, I really hope the the first game is at the home field of the top 4 seeds. Doesn't seem feasible to do 3 neutral site games in a row for most normal fans.

Do you really think that Army or Navy are gonna be making the playoffs anytime soon? I'm sure if it looks like one might they will change the final CFP poll will be after that game.
