An estimated 510k sq miles of SEC footprint is west of the Mississippi.

An estimated 349k sq miles is east of the Mississippi

* approximately 93% of Louisiana is west of the Mississippi

Why are we estimating?

Do we not know how big states are? Or do we not know where the Mississippi River is?

Population would probably work as the better metric since this is about ratings. Approximately 53 million east of Mississippi to 40 mil west (of which Texas is 75%).

Approx 55-60% of the population lives east of the Mississippi
