Absolutely.
Around here, a FTA (failure to appear) for a simple misdemeanor that would normally mean a file buys you at least a weekend at the county inn.

Meh not really. You pay a $100 fine and then the warrant gets dropped and you're given a new court date. The judge writes numerous bench warrants everyday in court.

Maybe where you live, but that's not the rule everywhere. As I said above don't show up in my home county and you're going to get locked up when they find you.
