I don't think they will make it out of their regional.

Fayetteville Regional Field:

1. Arkansas (42-17)
2. Missouri State (40-17)
3. Oklahoma State (30-25)
4. Oral Roberts (42-14)

Good luck, Hogs !

Nah. TCU has the toughest regional, imo.

TCU regional is brutal. The TCU/Arky regional pairings has 6 teams that could make it to Omaha.

What happened to Mizzou after all those early wins, did they get an invite?

Oral Roberts is a very good team. Their Ace's ERA is like 1.5. I'm not surprised if they beat Arky on the first day.

ORU has played 3 teams with a winning record since the start of March. Two of them are in the Fayetteville regional. Their competition is so weak I cannot think of a word to describe it.

TCU getting UVA was brutal. To me that's the toughest Regional.

We beat Missouri State at their place earlier this year with a mid week pitcher against one of their weekend starters. Okie Lite made a strong run late but they were in danger of not making their Conference Tournament a couple of weeks ago. ORU has some high end talent but not much depth.

I like our chances.

Not so bad when you look deeper at the teams...

2. Missouri State: Arkansas beat midweek when they started a weekend starter 12-4. 0-3 vs. Top 50 RPI teams.

3. Oklahoma State: Were 26-25 before Big 12 Tourney. Finished 8th in the Big 12(9 teams). Went 8-14 in league play. 6-10 record in true road games. Give up 5.1 runs per game.

4. Oral Roberts: 4-3 vs. Top 50 RPI teams. Those wins are OkState, OU, and Missouri State mid week. Best weekend RPI series win this season is Alabama(180). 6-8 vs. RPI Top 100. 32-4 vs. RPI 200+

That Hattiesburg regional is rough. Those teams can play and are all tough as hell

Arkansas is good. Really good. Even though that is a fairly tough regional, they will still win it. To me, I think Houston has a tough regional. They'll lose to either Baylor or A&M.

Not sure why y'all think this, because he definitely wasn't a weekend starter. He only started a few games all year and they were all midweek games.

lol.

The records are pretty but when you look at the resumes of the teams, they aren't that great against top 50 competition.

That's their closer. "Ace" ERA is 4.03.

I think the Houston regional is tough as hell. Baylor as a 2 seed and A&M won't be easy.

Van Horn was on SEC Now this morning and said that Knight would get the Saturday start. If he's facing Mo St. then it'll be extra tough.

Mo. St. has some quality pitchers and some exceptional hitters but I doubt they have everything they need to hand Arkansas a loss on Sat.

I do look forward to seeing how Jake Burger (MSU 3B) does against Knight. That'll be a best-on-best match up. Burger projects as a very high draft pick at 3B.
