Sumlin fits the same profile.

Except that Sumlin's posted a 12 win and 9 win season in the SEC already. Bert came out of the gate and fell on his butt, literally. So their profiles have diverged, a lot. One guy could handle the heat in the kitchen, the other guy had to step out and start whining about how hard it is.

quote:

Sumlin inherited major talent from Sherman

Sherman's classes were ranked:
#16
#22
#17
#27

Major talent? He hardly set the world on fire.

quote:

Sumlin had the best QB/OL combo I've seen in years along with one of the most physical WRs I've ever seen.

The QB and WR you are speaking of were 3* recruits. Since that's what Sumlin can do with 3*, y'all better prepare yourselves for what he unleashes with 5* guys.

Plus, had Sherman remained our coach nobody would have ever heard of Johnny Manziel. Mike Sherman was a big fan Jamiel Showers and had to be talked into recruiting Manziel. Showers was good; playing Manziel was a game time decision by Sumlin.

quote:

Sumlin has never fielded a team with a great defense, and has continued to suck on this side of the ball since he has been at TAMU . The Aggie's excuse: lack of talent

It is lack of talent. Look back at Sherman's recruting. He found some offensive diamonds in the rough. He found NOTHING on defense. His 2 & 3 star defenders play exactly like their rankings. He left a lot of just plain holes too - as in no recruit.

quote:

Of course, that seems to be a valid point...it's also valid for us though.

It is valid for you too. However, we are recruiting our way out of it. Arkansas isn't. That's the difference.

quote:

You guys hang your hats on recruiting now.

Recruiting is the lifeblood of every program. Arkansas fans have made a religion out of debating that in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary, but the fact remains that there hasn't been a BCS natty champ without at least one top-10, normally two top-10 classes on campus. On a player-by-player basis the rankings don't always accurately predict success or failure, but on the aggregate, overall team-ranking level, they do.

Good Coach

Bobby Petrino = Arkansas in the BCS Sugar Bowl

Sucky Coach

Bert BIelema = 3-9 season worse than a coach you all paid 700 grand to the year before.

The rest of the SEC better get their jokes and gifs in now, 'Bert' is building a monster in those hills. Foundation first (lines).

Y'all have fun now, 'Bert' is gonna soon be making you all squeal like a hog.

...with baited breath!! You guys sound like we did trying to defend Loeffler. But deep down, we knew, as do you. Like someone else said, I hope he stays for decades. He has done more to motivate his competition than he has to benefit his own team.
WAR DAMN BERT!!

Only Arkansas fans would accept this from Long and Bielema. Look at things ahead, focus on the future and sell them a douche wizzle that only won 3 games last year and went winless in the SEC. With the way his buyout his no wonder he has a castle built in Fayetteville. He will need one to keep all you fans from trying to come and get him while he stays in power with winless SEC seasons year in and year out.

You all have 5 seasons of this moron at least and with that said. Good Luck.....

Hide and watch, Alude. : )

Work on touching your toes so you will be limber enough to bend over when CBB tells you too.
Work on that squeal, too.

stay classy, and I am going to love watching Gus hand him his dumbass head again on a platter.

As long as Gus is at Auburn he will own Bielema and Arkansas. Not even a challenge.

No, not really, but recruiting is only part of the equation.
