Auburn fans whined about this in 2011. Then told Arky to piss off and had their Weagle Walk anyway.

Maybe the TAMU Ken dolls can have their tea party despite Arky saying no.

Just go the Nike route.

I'm bias ... but the Aggie Band drills are in a league of their own.

What your band does can't be that difficult. It's like watching a Galaga reenactment.

You have a limited amount of time at halftime...I've never seen a visiting band perform at UT's halftime...because the entire time is taken up by OUR halftime show.

I think everyone understands that concept.
Some schools, however, choose to divide that limited amount of time in half.
Clearly Arkansas isn't one of them.

Their gripe is they won't get to perform at halftime-- you think they should storm the field anyway??

My opinion is good for us- it's our stadium, do as we say- when in Rome...

I've never seen a Galaga reenactment; but your opinion is certainly as valid as anyone's.
I personally prefer a military drill to show tunes--that was my only point.

I heard that Arkansas have some other plans for halftime. They are honoring some students/former students.. Arkansas band will perform also.

Ags and Hogs are working together to keep game in Dallas in the future. More beneficial for Hogs to play in Dallas than for the Ags. Everyone seems to be cooperating on many fronts.

Not sure what is going on with Reveille but don't care that much anyway. We are going up to Arkansas to whip their arse and clear the stadium out.

All that matters... Gigem

Which is fine if they want. But if you're NOT the home school, SHUT THE frick UP. It's not your call.

Arkansas doesn't play as many games in Fayetteville as every other school gets to play in their home stadium (we dumb about that). In Fayetteville, they inevitably do things like honor Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame inductees, Student Government peeps, former players, etc, etc.

If we allowed Aggie to play that would essentially mean that we'd have to cut our own halftime show short and eliminate any kind of honor ceremony. As the home team, we're under no obligation to do either of those things. As the away team, you sound like a bunch of spoiled bitches for complaining.

Also - military marching style is easy as shite.

I'm not sure which SEC teams do allow the opposing team to perform, and which don't. I do know that I don't remember ever seeing the opponent's band play at Neyland (but I have lost many brain cells over the last several decades...so this may have been something done in the distant past).

My belief is that most SEC venues limit the halftime show to the home band.

Could some of the rest of you let us know what is typical at your place? Yea or Nea on the opposing team's band performing.

We never allow other teams' live mascots to be on the sidelines. I'm with wmr (i think it was) who said that it might have something to do with a cage and/or not wanting excrement in our field turf. Our live mascot is kept in a large enclosure at all times.

"Our band travels. Deal with it folks."

Nope. You deal with it. You are the ones that aren't going to play @ half.

BTW, you have won 1 game vs. the Hogs in God knows when and you act like you're all that? Typical texass crap. Lil johnnie is a bad knee away from being the invisible man, and the aggies will be mediocrity personified once again.
