No, we're their Super Bowl, especially due to the fact that we put that arse out in the regionals a year ago.

Central Arkansas did.

Some misinformed dummies in this tread

He was the only returning starter, so he got to start the first few Fridays this year. He was the midweek guy until late last season. I'll be surprised if he starts another Friday this season.

I can't find the notes anywhere easily and it's easier to ask you here. Did Bell start?

South Alabama now has a 185-171 record against the SEC following tonight's loss.

USA! USA! USA!

Yep. State is the only SEC team with a significant series lead over USA.

48-56 against Bama
2-2 against Arky
47-23 against Auburn
1-2 against Florida
1-0 against Georgia
1-2 against Mizzou
14-17 against Ole Miss
23-15 against LSU
7-1 against Kentucky
7-3 against South Carolina
3-3 against Tennessee
1-7 against aTm
8-5 against Vandy

187-180 by my count with the current SEC. Still pretty impressive to have a winning record against LSU, Carolina, Vandy, Auburn, and Georgia. Can almost lay claim to the best baseball program in Alabama if only you had made a few really good postseason runs and beat Alabama a few more times...

Not sure of the exact number, but there were several times before the Super Regional format when USA was in the driver's seat of regionals needing only one win to get to Omaha, but couldn't seal the deal.

Close, but no cigar is very applicable to the history of South Alabama athletics.

Bammer won't play us anymore and it took some serious convincing to get Auburn back on the schedule this year. Both try to avoid making the trip to Mobile. State is the only SEC school that comes to Stanky Field on a regular basis.
