Broderick Green, a 4 Star back out of HS with a year of playing time at USC, has officially announced his enrollment at Arkansas.
LINK

According to his radio and TV interviews, he and whomever he has spoke with on the Arkansas staff, is confident that under the circumstances of his transfer he will be able to bypass the 1 year wait (dying family member).

If Green is granted instant eligibility, I believe that in combination with Ryan Mallett taking the helm, and 21 True Freshman with significant playing time returning, Arkansas will compete for the West next year.

Just my two cents and humble opinion.

USC and Arkansas are starting to have some sort of exchange program going on. We take your stars, and you get our 5th stringers. Though it works out to be pretty even trades.

Green would start at any SEC school, with exception being Georgia, maybe.

Being a Freshman mixed into a USC depth chart isn't a great tool to judge transferring talent, IMHO.

Green is a very good runningback. He just didn't want to bide his time.

Coming from people on the team that is not the main reason. It took him 2 weeks to decide what school he was transferring too after he decided to leave USC. He listed Texas and some other possibilites as well. I am not saying that his Grandmother is not a reason, just not the whole reason.

He is the closest thing the league will have to a Dickerson/McFadden style of play. Big, bruising, and athletic.

Yes, he is a bad arse and I would say the same if he were transferring to Vandy, Florida, LSU, or Kentucky.

Had he remained on the recruiting radar, opposed to committing to Carrol in the 10th grade, he would have generated the buzz needed for the 5 Star rating, as if HS "stars" matter at this point.

what are you basing this on other than homerism? he appears to be similar to charles scott but less accomplished. they look roughly the same size/speed and scott was actually rated more highly coming out of high school

a third or fouth string RB and a second or third string QB from USC are good enough to start for almost all SEC schools and many make it to the NFL being backup players at USC..... They have the talent ------

I stated above that I am high on him regardless of the school. He could stay at USC and I would cast the same praise on him.

He is freak of nature. I'm just fortunate that under his unfortunate circumstances, he is a Hog.

yeah, no shite they have the talent but it's stupid to assume that he's better than all the SEC RB's when he was rated lower than many of them coming out of high school and really didn't perform all that well on the field this year. so again, what makes him better?

He was a Freshman and only touched the ball 32 times. He averaged 5.2 per with 3 TD's......off the bench.

"Didn't perform well"? Ok.

Additionally, if you knew what you were talking about, and you don't, he committed in the 10th grade . Had he played the recruiting games for 3 more years he would have gained the additional cute gold star he lacked and you place weight on.
