A day or so ago, Arkansas was a 1.5 favorite, now on some books you can get Arkansas as a 3.5 dog at home.

For people who are serious about this, I'd appreciate an opinion on what has changed.

For the rest, feel free to post Bert's fat posts, etc.

This is sharp money being laid on TCU. Someone explained yesterday that the line is shifting to TCU despite 75% of the bets being laid on Arkansas. Means big money gamblers are loading up on TCU.

If you ask me, they are making a mistake. And yeah, I'm a homer, but from where I sit, Arkansas didn't show shite against FAMU. TCU destroyed their FCS opponent. So folks think they're getting a good bet with TCU. I just don't see it though.

Arkansas has a more talented roster top to bottom and despite TCU returning their entire defense, they just haven't played good defense since Bumpass left. Kenny Hill can always present problems, but I just don't think TCU has the horses to keep the Hogs off the board...A lot.

Not to mention the fact Arkansas already took these guys in their stadium last year and this is Arkansas's home opener. Team and crowd will be extra fired up.

Hogs are 3.5 point dogs now? I just saw the line as even.

That's not good.

Thanks for a sensible response. Sometimes the sharps outsmart themselves by simply betting against the squares.

It's too early in the season to know how Arkansas will perform, but give me 3.5 at home and I'll give it a chance.

Looks like TCU defense is much improved and money is going that direction. It was Jackson St and all but TCU gave up less than 70 yards total I think. Hogs dominated defensively also. Lots of people like Gary Patterson and how TCU has played defense under him. if game was in Ft Worth it would be around TCU - 6.5 or -7. Seems about right to me.

Also, Bert teams at Arkansas seem to hit their stride later in the year... not so much early. So there is that also.

Going to be interesting to see how this game plays out. Looking forward to it. Go Hogs.

And somehow managed to score a hot wife and not lose his first game of the season. Congrats on losing to Cal.

I wouldn't touch this game with a 10 foot pole. No telling on Arky's D yet but the main thing is the fact that Kenny Trill could have a good day and torch you, or he could throw 4 pick 6's and fumble into his own endzone 3 times. I'm not betting money on which one shows up because who the f*** knows

That is a solid analysis but what you neglected to consider is the undeniable fact that Bert is fat.

TCU started as about 7 point favorites before moving to about -9 or -10 by game time last year, fwiw.

Congrats on being the only Hogs fan who gets mad about "Bert is Fat" jokes.
