Yeah. Being able to rent an apartment with 1 bed, 1 full bath, a full kitchen, and living area on a golf course for $415 a month is killing this city

Seriously? I hate to own rental property there!

A lot of new rentals have been built in the last few years, mostly for students, and mostly on the upscale side. I think the median rent in the town is getting close to $700, but I'm not sure about that.

When I was a student, I lived in a pretty crappy 2 bedroom that was a block from campus for $425. That was a few years ago.

On the other hand, there are extremely nice 500 sq ft one bedrooms going for $800-1000.

There's quite a bit of variety.

This is what you get here for ~$400, but only if you weigh 165 lbs or less.

If you're going to rent.. do it in a state that has an income tax.. otherwise you pay out the arse in rent because of property taxes.

A $1,000 a month apartment in Florida is the equivalent of a $500 a month apartment in Fayetteville.
