Arkansas should move to the Big 12

Makes a lot more sense for us to play teams like Oklahoma and Texas than Florida and South Carolina. The area where campus is has more in common with Kansas than Mississippi. It's just never been a good fit for us geographically or culturally.
Everyone gives Frank Broyles so much credit for moving Arkansas to the SEC but it was obviously a terrible decision. We used to win conference championships in football all the time, now we haven't won a single one in 25 years.
The automatic response to leaving the SEC is always "but the money," and I would argue that actually winning championships would bring in more money than being subsidized by Bama and the SEC Network. Plus all that money doesn't benefit the fans at all, it just allows our administrators to pay themselves more. How does a single Arkansas fan benefit from all this "SEC money"? Paying $4 instead of $5 for a hotdog at the stadium?

I agree that the SEC is gay. But the Big12 won't even be around much longer, and why in the frick would anyone want to share a conference with Texas? Been there, done that. frick Texas.

I agree. Take Missouri with you and we will be back to 12 teams and the the Big 12 will be back to 12 teams which would be fine by me.

The current Big 12 is a shitty amalgam of other leagues.
Remove WV and ISU and you'd have something to start with. Maybe add Colorado State. Fayetteville is closer to Fort Collins than it is to Columbia, SC.

Bringing Nebraska and Colorado back would be ideal. Nebraska being in the same conference as Maryland and Rutgers is retarded.

The only conference expansions that made any sense whatsoever were 12-team SEC and Penn St to the Big 10.

Agreed. When we were stuck in the XII, I always thought that A&M and Arkansas should switch places. We should have been here in the SEC all along, and Arkansas would really like the XII.
