When I first started traveling to LA on business I had a friend who kept talking about rice and gravy. he couldn't wait to get home because he was gonna have some rice and gravy.
I'm thinking, dam, times must be hard. Who the hell would eat rice with gravy only. The only gravy I know is buttermilk gravy, made with grease, flour, buttermilk and pork droppings, that we put on biscuits, chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, etc. He was actually talking about roux like substance that I would call sauce.
