PT isn't the issue so what was?
I bet it was Arkansas bringing in all those JUCOs they are, maybe he thought his playing time wouldn't increase, in fact, it may have decreased.

Striking out on whole classes can set a program back several years.

That is what the rumor is.
My thing is, this makes two transfers in two years. One kid kicked off after being arrested. One signee following losing Portis, Qualls, Madden, and Harris. Now, that one signee is leaving. So, we basically signed no kids last season.

Time to head to the Plains and nab Pearl. His post game comments in Bud Walton were simply to butter up our administration and fan base because he knew the job would be opening up shortly.
He isn't leaving for the dumpster fire that is Arkansas

Arkansas isn't a dumpster fire. No APR issues and talent on the roster.
Missing a competent coach to put it all together.
If you want to talk about basketball dumpster fires as for programs, look no further than your own. No NCAA tourney since 2003. No NBA draft pick since 2001.

And what is Auburn?

On the upside, it's easier to replace a missed class in basketball than it is in football.
The downside, I don't know what Anderson can do to get the momentum swinging back in his direction other than winning games.

Loaded JUCO class coming in, but the JUCO game doesn't always work out.

I really thought Mike was going to bring back 40 minutes of hell and make arky a force again.

This offseason is helping out Howland more than the recruiting class. Maybe Newman will decide to stay another year to really put the cherry on top.

Doesn't MSU have like 4 players transferring?

All the players we are losing will be due to graduation. And possibly Newman to the draft.

Houston and Ndoye I guess were mid-season transfers

I sorted this list and 4 MSU players showed up

While most of our basketball fan base is not very happy right now, it isn't because of what the team should be next season. It is mainly because of Mike not being able to sustain and retain kids.
The class coming in is very talented on paper and will join Kingsley, Hannahs, Watkins, and Beard.
If anything, I would expect Mike to be coaching for his life next season. Given that the roster should be one of the best he has had, it wouldn't surprise me for Arkansas to finish top 3-4 in the league again.
That still doesn't mean I want to retain Mike Anderson.

Placing a lot of weight on the JUCOs living up to the hype.

Yes. Houston due to just not fitting in with the new coach and Ndoye due to not being very good. I am guessing the other two are on there because they are eligible to be graduate transfers.

Its very concerning. Losing Whitt means we have 0 signees from the season we lost Qualls, Portis, Madden, and Harris. That season also saw Babb transfer and Jacorey Williams kicked off the team. So we essentially lost 6 players that season and have 0 signees to show for it.
We are talking 3 super talented JUCOs.
4* SG Jaylen Barford: #2 JUCO player nationally
4* SG Daryl Macon: #4 JUCO player nationally
4* PF Arlando Cook: #6 JUCO player nationally
