The West is so hard, it needs cupcakes, IMO.

They should combine that with The Boot and all of it should sit in LSU's trophy case. Both teams got smacked by a Cajun Ogre.

They weren't FBS when they were scheduled.

That's nothing. VA Tech once scheduled a game with a team from NC, that hadn't even started playing football yet.

We don't have two FCS schools scheduled. We only have Coastal Carolina because Michigan canceled on us.

Sorry we went after a blue blood from the B1G for a challenge and good entertainment. We can't all schedule a sure B1G win like Indiana. Unlike Arkansas, Missouri would never lose to a 4-8 team, so congratulations on being 2-0 against mighty Indiana.

Hell Florida paid Georgia Southern to come beat their arse without even attempting a pass. FBS is tough.

As a Razorback fan, I agree with you.
No offense to FAMU, but the AD at Arkansas has no business scheduling them.

And they wonder why the stadium won't be full. Especially after moving it to a weeknight when they know that most of the fans will have to work the next day. FAMU can't even bring their famous band because of the move.

It's a no pressure game that will help work out kinks with the 3-4

Yeah, don't have a problem with it at all. The meat of the schedule is difficult enough so having cupcakes on the bookends seems a smart thing to do.

You still should schedule a better FCS opponent. Beating FAMU 63-6 wont really help with anything. It will be like practicing against your 3rd stringers and walk ons. They are a truly awful FCS team.

At least playing a hungry decent FCS team like a Montana type program gives your team somewhat of a challenge. If anything you could argue the game against FAMU gives your team a lot of false confidence.

You all played the team that almost lost in Jonesboro and lost to them.

Nobody gets confidence from playing FAMU...we are just helping their school like every other team in the SEC

Arkansas hasn't finished a season in the top 25 in half a decade.

Second longest streak of futility in the SEC only just ahead of Kentucky 30 something years.

You cant speak for the players, sometimes it can happen. Just saying nothing good comes from a game like that. You're not going help iron out and issues moving to a 3-4 because you could come out in a 0-4-7 and dominate them defensively because you out man them so badly at every position.

When I was at GA Southern we would play this team called Savannah State, would always blow their doors off, sometimes the players would get really full of themselves after that game because everything was just so easy. Not only did we dominate them physically but they made every mistake in the book on top of that.

These types of game you just really want to avoid. IF you beat a decent team 53-6, then so be it, at least you tried to challenge yourself, but just rolling over a patsy who gives up (And trust me, these teams do just give up), doesn't help one iota.

Those two are very comparable.
