Jon L has been with the team the last several years. It's not like they're not all familiar with him Thought it was a pretty good strategy.

So they essentially promoted their special teams coach. What a move!

Throwing out facts to refute ignorant opinions is a "flamefest?" Mkay...

JLS will beat more than a few SEC teams this season and those that he does will have to live with the fact they will be 0-1 against JLS forever

pressure is on SEC

Its not like he is going to be here forever. He is a good choice for what coaches that were available and made the players happy.

for this particular situation this was a home run in my opinion.

stop making shite up.

You wanna retract that and apologize, or just accept the embarrassment of being shown as a hot head that makes shite up without knowing what he's talking about?

With 18 years as a head coach. We needed a PR coach. We needed a player's coach. We needed time.

We got them all.

if i was going interim i would've promoted from within instead of hiring a man whose last 5 years consist of coaching Weber State, special teams coach, and broadcasting.

if i was one of Arkys coordinators or assistant coaches i'd be pretty upset right now.

He's getting blasted in the media. Him, Jeff Long and Arkansas. Not really off to a good start.

Mainly about leaving his alma mater before even coaching a game...comparing to the hiring shenanigans of Petrino.

Well John L was on the staff the last few seasons, so it is pretty much a promotion from within, although not technically. He has more HC experience than all of our assistants combined, and all of our assistants can now keep full focus on their job.
