you know for a school with the most generic, unoriginal mascot in sports you Mizzou fans sure are feisty about your copyrights and whatnot.

Missouri University is called the Tigers after citizens who defended in the Civil War.

Yes, I can see how yours is so much more meaningful. Oddly enough that quote from the coach commemorated your last win over LSU as well.

Tigers fought in the civil war?

Yes, we had a town of nearly 80 citizen tigers that took up arms.
They held their ground purrrrrrfectly.
They really put their paw down
They clawed their way through the enemy
This joke relates to the topic at hand.
What's a tiger running a copy machine called? A copy cat!!!
Posted on 3/9/14 at 12:13 am to Mizzoufan26
Hmm didn't know that tigers were indigenous to the area? And moral of the story don't use copy machines?
Posted on 3/9/14 at 12:15 am to momentoftruth87
Also was that town of 80 people Columbia or did they just steal that thru a fax machine?

They chose to sue Green Forest?
Why not Bentonville?
I'd also add in Charleston. But seeing them yesterday, they don't know what they want to be. Had LSU's old school tiger on one thing. Had LSU's toonce's tiger head on another. Had Mizzou's Tiger head on their court. And a really poorly drawn tiger on their score board.

Why not Republic HS that is more like it than Green Forest? And within the state. That's why it's stupid they came after GFHS
Posted on 3/9/14 at 12:52 am to momentoftruth87
It's likely Republic paid their $5 or whatever licensing fee. It's not expensive to license the tiger for a high school team. There's directions on Mizzou's website for the procedure.
