It's odd to think I should like a coach I have thought was a prick since he was at UMASS. But only an idiot would be against the hire. Regardless, wait and see is the only real option.

I'm on board. People can say he's underachieved but that's by both Kentucky's and his standards. I'll take my chances being a 2,3 seed every year.

More importantly it shows Arkansas is no longer fricking around in basketball. If not for all of the racial shite we would have hired Self and probably have 3-4 National Titles by now and are in the conversation of top 5 jobs in the country.

Even IF all the salty predictions by salty KY fans come true, this is a huge hire.

Sets new level of commitment for Arkansas basketball, both for type of coach and NIL.

Hogs can now never again go back to looking for next up-and-comer who might some day become really good.

No more Stan Heath, John Pelphrey type hires.

5 years from now, Hog basketball has much higher floor, EVEN IF every KY fan's prediction comes true and Arkansas has 5 years of constant stream of NBA talent, high SEC conference achievement, constantly ranked in regular season and NCAA Tournament flameouts.

But I do not think for one single solitary second there will be 5 more years of Tournament flameouts.

Cal gets $5 million NIL and pretty much anything he wants at Arkansas, with full support.

None of the spoiled, arrogant "but we're BLUE BLOODS, you see? Where is our Natty, old boy? We DE-MAUNDH our Natty!" pushbacks at KY last 5 years.

It'll be "Woo Pigs Sooiee!" and Let's Freakin Go at Arkansas.

Cal is the right hire for us this time. Every player from our team is gone and all the commits backed out.

There is nobody that could come in and rebuild this roster with real talent in one off-season better than Cal can. We will be competitive next season.

Agre with Hogs of War, it set's a new bar and as history has told us, we're not scared of Kentucky, Gonzaga, Duke, Carolina, nor Kansas. Beat a few of them recently in the tourney when they were the number 1 overall seed. Now that pesky Hurley needs to be kneecapped.

Cal will get the players, get to the final four and all is good.

I'm IN

mostly because the hire got the NIL donors aligned.

Cal knows how to spend it.

I'm on board with the hire. Cal may not win a National Title in Fayetteville, but he'll leave the program in great shape after he retires.

I’m on board. Even if we don’t have huge tournament success (which I still think we can) it raises our profile as a program and shows we’re serious about winning and will throw a bunch of money at it with the right coach.

We’ll be set up well for the next hire and it will bring stability when it seemed like we might lose our momentum we had gained with Muss.

This right here.

We could have done much worse but not much better. Now well see if it translate on the court.

Wait and see, but understand how at this point he was the best option available simply due to the fact we have 1 player on the roster currently who is a senior walk on and so someone with a great recruiting background is necessary for immediate stability. Not mad at the decision at all

It all boils down to the hog call during the press conference.
