I heard mike say that we would be a team say something to the effect that we would be a 3 point team. we might live and die by the 3 this year. predicated on guard play I'm sure.

This is the first chance I've had to watch the Hogs, they don't look terrible considering they're a patchwork team.

I figured we would be fighting Mizzou for last in the sec. alot of people are hung up on mike never having a losing season but we are just so decimated roster wise I don't see how he will pull a miracle like that.

Mikes entire strategy is predicated on guard play.
He wants combo guards at what most call the "1, 2, 3".
He wants a forward that can handle the ball and has range to his offense (labeled stretch four by some) and an opposite forward he can hold his own around the basket via physicality.
The recruiting class he is assembling have all been perfect skills sets to what he wants to do.

I'm trying to keep in mind that this team is a work in progress. I see several bright spots though.
