No hate to him, but no. Someone yesterday had the audacity to say the heisman was HIS TO LOSE next year…

Mad respect for him running into a pile of ALA oline and Mich Dlinemen all in the same play where all he had to do was run to the left of his now “death-threatened” center, then follow the Pulling guard.

Les miles woulda run that play twice if he just had the time.

I’m not a huge fan of Malzahn as a head coach, but he can build really good offenses around dual threat quarterbacks. I told a coworker the same today. Malzahn would make Milroe a Heisman winner

No QB in the history of the game has ever improved after their first year starting.

Malzahn? Maybe Kiffin but not Malzahn. Gus has hurt more QBs than helped. I think Bo Nix would disagree with you.

Not even Jalen Hurts? He got a trip to NYC his last year. That was much better than in '16 and '17.

He is what he is.

A true freaky deaky athlete that Can make unbelievable plays with his legs & throw the ball 50 yards fairly accurately. Unfortunately he is bad a pre/post snap reads, processes the field slowly most of the time, and his accuracy at short to medium depth is atrocious. Now after Jalen Hurts, I hesitate to say a talented guy can't learn to be a great QB in college, but the signs aren't promising after start 14 games that we get Milroe 2.0 in the 2024 season

Alabama's ceiling with him with the new schedule is going to be another 2-3 loss season I'm afraid (which may still get them a CFP bid in the new format to be fair)

Milroe needs to transfer to a program where he will be developed. Bama needs a QB who is more polished especially as a passer to take advantage of the offensive skill weapons that are on the roster.

I’m pretty sure they know he’s not a heisman qb. They didn’t trust him enough to pass on last play of game, instead did a les miles play.

Someone needs to tell tommy Rees this. He’s a hell of an athlete stop trying to make him something he’s not.

Did I really need to use a sarcasm tag of some sort?

Rees knows what Milroe is. You must've missed the last play. What did Rees call? Milroe just didn't execute the play. It was there.

I think he can be very good *if* he gets really good development. But he *has* to get better at reading and passing if he wants to have any chance to accomplish that. 2 weeks ago I thought a Heisman might be in the cards for him. I've changed my mind on that. Now I'll just be happy if he improves his passing game - because if he does, bama has a decent shot to win it all next year. If not, the ceiling is what we got this year.

The LSU defense made him a heisman candidate...but they have done that with every qb this year look at the Wisconsin qb
