I would start with the worst recruiter in the Conference and work my way up. Some are better than others, but not that much.

You're right, it's been going on since at least the beginning of the 20th Century.

That's why the Ivy League schools left Div IA, it's also why the Pacific Coast Conference folded.

College football got dirty as soon as people started showing up in stadiums in the tens of thousands.
