I don't understand why we're not #1.

Ole Miss shouldnt be #4.

Why? They beat bama and lost to LSU, at night, at LSU. The fact they beat bama means bama does not deserve to be ranked ahead of them.

I feel like LSU would beat at least half the teams ranked ahead of them but can't really argue that deserve to be higher. But I do expect to move up.

The Arkansas game didn't hurt Bama like I thought it would. Not sure it should, but they definitely seem to take hoe the game is played into account for some teams.

Eta: they also respect LSU enough to only drop Ole Miss one spot after a loss to them, so the inconsistency there is odd.

I mean I would love to be a lil higher sure but... all we have to do is win our games and its a moot point.

how do you rationalize LSU being #19, with their only loss to #1 and #3? and after losing to #24 LSU , # 3 OM drops to 4??

Ole Miss got the sympathetic "Poor sick Archie" vote is how it was explained on another board.

I imagine the author of that statement needs to stay clear of the Bow Tie Klan lest they nailed to a tree somewhere.

I have no problem with OM #4, but LSU at 19 is a bit befuddling.

You know it was bad when even Bama fans are realizing the bias before was too much.

Yeah I don't really have a problem with it. The top SEC teams are ranked where they should be.

LSU isn't going to make it into the top four anyway so its fun just to play spoiler this season with a chance to finish inside the top 10. Not to bad for one of our biggest rebuilding years to date.

No that it particularly matters but thought we'd be closer to 15 than 20.

I've said this on other forums, but I think there is a good chance that if Georgia were to win out, they still might not go. What if Oregon, FSU, TCU, Michigan State, and Notre dame don't lose another game? They are all ranked ahead, and everybody Georgia blows out suddenly becomes a terrible team. I think the sec could be left out in this situation.

Georgia is the most overated team in the top 25. I just do not buy that beating Clemson was some kind of good win. And losing to a horrible Carolina team should hurt them more. I suppose they will have a shot at improving themselves by beating Auburn though I doubt the dawgs win that game even in Athens.

The SECE is garbage this year and does not deserve a place in the SECCG, imo.

So the same team, Auburn, struggled with South Carolina at home, blew LSU out.

Interesting opinion.

based on what? their resume is worse than bama's, and the worst schedule in the sec

Just pisses me off listening to TV and Radio pundits claiming how strong the PAC 12 and Big 12 teams are. They can't stop an ice cream truck on a summer day and would get exposed by most every SEC team and it seems they constantly look for an excuse to put them in. Oregon is a joke.

How is Alabama's any better than Georgia's? The close loss to Ole Miss? The only common opponents are Arkansas and Tennessee, and those are pretty equal, each team blew out one and not the other.

Whichever SEC West team among State, OM, AU, and UA wins out goes...that's it...end of story.
everything else is pointless.

LSU should be higher than some of the one-loss scrubs ahead of us. Specifically AZ State, Ohio State, Nebraska. None of them have done shite and all of them would have 4 losses if we replaced some of their scrub games with MSU, @AU and OM. Also we should be ahead of Oklahoma, our big win is better than their big win and our losses are better than theirs. Really OU should be a lot lower AND we should be higher.

Not much higher though. I had us at #14.
