Patterson hearts DFW, he's all in.

Mangino makes sense... blondes will reject him.

True, he makes $3 million a year.
However,

5 losses in the past 4 years.
He's gotten to two BCS bowl games in the last 3 years, won one.
Top 4-5 program in his weaker conference, which his school has a legit chance of winning in immediately.
Doesn't have to play LSU, Bama, etc. every year.

ETA: would be a lateral move at best, with a lower chance of winning a NC.

All of that is true.

But competitive people like a challenge and like to do it on the highest level.

I don't think he would come here if offered. Just want him or others I listed offered. No shite arse coaches like Long tried to do last time.

Well, to be fair last time our program was in the fricking dump, and Grobe, etc was the best we could do until Petrino fell into our lap.

I'm worried that Jeff Long will try and make some shitty hires like he did last time.

Ted Roof would be a fantastic hire, IMO.

While it's true that a good competitor doesn't run from challenges, I don't see he would leave TCU. A good coach tries to get the program to the next level, and that seems to be what he's doing.

And...No, I'm not trolling by saying that it would be a lateral move, actually. Both TCU and Arkansas are on the same tier, don't kid yourself bro. Give those guys credit, y'all have had some good years, so have they. Your forgetting this guy won a Rose bowl recently.
