Meh....29-13 and 6 out of the last 8.

Bragging rights not to mention the Heisman and Natty are in Tuscaloosa.

Congrats on your Birmingham Bowl victory and last place finish in the West. Gus is dead man walking and your program is the laughing stock of college football.

quote "Or they think they can make more money with an extra year."

So if someone told you there was a good chance in May you could have 10 million dollars or if you wait you might get 20 million in another year. The only catch is you have to go through offseason training, spring and fall practices plus a 14 game season without injury. You also would have to perform to the same or higher standard and hope someone else didn't pass you by. I know what I would do.

How much cash do you think Cardale Jones blew by coming back. Howard is in a very similar situation wouldn't you agree.

Big difference between top 15 money and 2nd round money. Especially in that rookie contract. And a guy like him would have insurance in case he gets hurt next year.

Was Foster ever a serious candidate for leaving?

Of the three in the tweet, he was the least likely to depart for the NFL. Considering he was more special teams and back up (though with a large amount of playing time), it would likely have taken a HUGE combine for him to get into the early rounds. Best to show what he can do as a starter.

Cardale was a 3rd string QB that had barely played, and one or two of the QBs in front of him was coming back.

Not sure...but I saw at least one projection of him in the second round, so it may have been a possibility...

So they must really value their education. Both are throwing away a pile of guaranteed cash. Not a very good business decision.

If he were an Auburn player, you would be applauding how dedicated he was to Auburn by choosing to return. He would be referred to as an "Auburn man".

im sure you could find some posts about Carl Lawson that say that exact thing. But Allen >>> Lawson so im not sure that is a fair comparison.

So now we are pretending OJ Hiward is a great player? The kid did basically nothing his entire career until Clemson seemingly forgot the tight end was an eligible receiver

We'll stop pretending he is a great player if you stop pretending you aren't Phan.

How is choosing to finish a degree not a good business decision?

Maybe they saw how quickly Bama players flame out in the NFL and decided they wanted a fall back plan for life after FB?

Howard probably wouldn't raise his draft stock much by staying an extra year. He should have gone.
