Classy post, Fairley's egregious cheap shots disgusted me as a fan of SEC football - hope Slive takes action this week.

Not defending Fairley here, but tell me what you think of the chop block your O Line threw at Fairley early in the game? Do you feel disgusted by that as well?

Slive has got to reign this Auburn program in before it destroys the conference. We can't afford to have a team with a reputation like UofM had in the 80's.
The SEC has established itself as the greatest conference in the country. A renegade team with a bunch of cheap shot thugs is gonna be headlines across America. We've got to maintain class in the league, and get rid of the riff raff.

Agree, chop blocks have no place either - UGA's next opponent, Ga Tech, throws more chop blocks than anyone out there.
AU's Smith knocked 2 UGA players out of the game (and probably the season) with the equivalent of chop blocks, then was praised mightily by Lundquist for the killer block.

Ditto...Auburn has nothing to be ashamed of except for Fairleys behavior and some of the Cam theatrics.
Emotions run high in the hours after a game...let us not forget that Auburn is our brethren and you cant judge all of Auburn by the actions of a thug and a shyster.
Seriously...I wish this whole Cam shite wasnt happening because I'd be pulling for Auburn to take it to the house and bring home the crystal. However, I cant feel that way because of the possibility that Newton is guilty.
Anyway, if Fairley has half a brain, he will change his style of play. If he does not, he wont last. He'll be a marked man until someone takes him out. If not in college in his first season as a pro.
The whole Alabama - Auburn thing fascinates me. Everyone says Auburn has a huge inferiority complex about Alabama...I dont see it. Auburn has been playing Football just as long and has a proud history.
I may feel differently tomorrow, but right now I cant get Fairleys cheapshots out of my mind and Newton's Cockiness.
All this shite is just crazy...and I am going back for some more wine.
