It's technically correct but kind of silly for Ohio State's streak to have ended in 2020.

Credit to Lane, wouldn’t have guessed Ole Miss at #4.

What's interesting is that their placement on the list doesn't change; they're still #2 regardless. The only difference is that it would date back to 2011, giving Alabama only about 20-30 weeks more than OSU, streak wise.

Same could be said of Michigan's streak.

eh I don't think it's silly. It was late October when some teams had played 6 games already before they played their first. You can say it's not necsesarily their fault, but by teh same token they shouldn't be arbitrarily ranked after 6 weks while everyone else is playign games while they're still 0-0.

Not gonna lie. Feeling like the Miss St "We believe" season for Ole Miss this year.

Agree, but the point of this sort of stat is showing consistency in your program being a Top 25 program.

Ohio State was a "N/A" those weeks, not a "outside the Top 25".

Yeah, no. We're way too one dimensional on offense - but it's just fun right now.

I’m mostly just happy to not be an Arkansas or aggy fan.

I think he sorta means that he feels like we will collapse at the end like that paper tiger State team did that season.

We might collapse, but I'm gonna enjoy it and wait for it to actually happen.

Injuries and attrition are real. Teams with limited depth at certain positions often find themselves losing traction as the season progresses. Staying healthy is everything. It's not sexy to talk about it but it's the main reason teams come back to earth. Much more than coaching.

You are absolutely right, but Ole Miss is deeper than I’ve seen us since I can remember. We’re not anywhere near Alabama deep, but the drop off from the first team to the second team is not the canyon it used to be. The portal has been very good to us!

Let the record show that I called this on October 3rd, 2022.

Let the record also show that, in 2012, MSU started out 7-0, only to finish 8-4, including an Egg Bowl loss. Remind me, how did Ole Miss start in 2022, and how did they finish?
