Not necessarily. If Auburn and Mississippi State wins out Mississippi State goes, and Auburn stays home. I honestly believe they will only allow 1 SEC team in the playoff. Florida state will win out and go.... Notre Dame is going if the media can help it....Michigan State will win out and TCU COULD win out.

Don't misunderstand me. If Auburn wins out they should go after playing a SEC West schedule. i just don't think the voters are going to allow it if they can help it.

For this very reason, Bama is in too if they win out.

If Bama wins out they will be in the playoff, same with Auburn. Not only will there be attrition in the SEC, there will be in the Big 12 and Big 10. I think both of those conference champions will have 2 losses, and so will Notre Dame. Which would leave FSU, a one loss Oregon, the SEC champion and a one loss SEC team.

No way a one-loss Alabama (or even lil bro Auburn) gets left out of the playoffs this year regardless of if they won their division or not.

Only way that would happen was if FSU, Oregon and Oklahoma all went undefeated.

One loss Ole Miss? They have to win the conference because they don't have the traditional pull to get voters to back them.

Not this year. I think they lose to Stanford or some other team.

They are truly not as strong as perceived. Even if they did make the playoffs I like whomever is representing our conference chances against them.

so how could anyone justify a one loss ole miss team that would have beaten bama and auburn get left out, but one of the teams they beat get in? especially they would have had to win the sec championship to win out.

If you guys really think that Alabama would not go to the playoffs if they win out, you are dumber than a box of rocks . . . or just trolling.

Beating LSU, MSU, and Auburn would easily put them as the top 1 loss team in the country, with easily the toughest schedule in the nation.

If not, the playoff committee only last a year, and the whole system is disbanded from outrage.

They would be #1 in the country, and a lock for the #1 seed in the playoff.

We lose to #1, #4 and beat #3

I will never understand pollsters

and the teams 11-15 who have they played?

Well that's not going to happen. Like I said before the LSU game, Ole Miss decline started with a loss at LSU and will continue with 2 more losses. Which is still a great season for Ole Miss.

Notre Dame's going to make a mockery out of this playoff thing.

It was their best team of all times and they got curb stomped, shut out in the championship game by a team who's coached by the man who resurrected their program. That loss overshadows that whole season for them, especially since it was in their own backyard and that game proved the first game they won was a fluke.

Add in the fact that Bama has consolidated that win by winning the next two games, another national championship, is in the mix for another this year and the bitterness just continues to grow.

When Bama makes it 4 in a row and 6 of 7 with another win at Tiger Stadium they will be over the top with disdain for Bama and the 21-0 game will continue to be a huge deal.

Not even close to the same thing. Any non-conference champion should feel lucky if they manage to get in. Everyone controls their own destiny at the start of the year now and Auburn forfeited that control when they got slaughtered in Starkville.

If you're on the bubble and get left out, it's because you lost and put yourself on the bubble.

Oregon designed their defense to beat ground and pound teams and now we are getting beat in space against AZ, WSU, and Cal. We've held MSU and Washington to some of their lowest outputs of the year.

I get the feeling that we will look good against Stanford and Utah.

It's pretty much a given only the SEC champ is going to make it in especially in the first year. IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN FOR 2 SEC TEAMS.

Two Sec teams will not get in. It will be the SEC champ only
