At this point rankings don't matter if you're an SEC West team.

Rankings don't matter for anybody. It's a committee thing now, so all that matters is avoiding human error in choosing.

In other words, everyone's screwed.

How is 59-0 any different than 41-7? Especially when Alabama has the easiest schedule in the west outside of the unfair joke that is MSU's schedule.

Question:
Not that it matters, but how in the hell did Oregon jump Notre Dame?

Oregon UW played at the same time as FSU/ND but I caught the tail ends of both halves of FSU/ND.

FWIW I would have ND ahead of Oregon right now. Want to see Oregon play Stanford and compare ND/Stanford and Oregon/Stanford.

My biggest fear is that committee overlooking undefeated teams like MSU (assuming we were) in favor of teams like auburn with 1 loss just due to prestige historically. Especially when you have a frickjng former politician like Rice on it who could be bought off

The system is a joke to not use the rankings to decide the playoff

No way will that happen should MSU win out. Would be an instant credibility killer. 4 team playoff won't work in the long run imo.

This statement is illogical, but also is ironic. Auburn more than any other team has been passed over for mythical national titles or shots at them because of lesser teams with historical prestige.

You can put that particular fear to rest. It won't happen. If it came down to a one-loss MSU vs a one-loss Auburn/Bama/UGA, on the other hand, you'll likely have a legitimate concern.

AP Poll released:
Polls mean zero right now. Our guys were going nutz yesterday. They hongry. Ruben gotta eat.

Translation:

Polls, at this time, are not relevant. LSU players were inspired at game time. They were desirous of victory. Reuben needs to consume food to function properly.
