I think Ole Miss wins. If Vandy had a familiar QB, I may pick them to win it, just because I think Ole Miss's secondary is not very good. That ginger weirdo Vandy has may turn out to be good though.

I've liked Vanderbilt getting points at home all offseason, but losing their 2nd leading WR two weeks before the game will hurt.

VU is the better team and is at home... what's not to like?

ETA: i'm also curious how Bo Wallace looks in his first game since shoulder surgery. I realize Vandy is breaking in a new QB, but defensively they should stop Ole Miss. The true freshman getting the start are talented, but opening on the road against a good team means they'll struggle some.

Take Vandy to cover 3 all day. I think they usually use at least 4.

I'm an Ole Miss fan but from a gambler's perspective, the game was incredibly close last year and Ole Miss not only returns 6 more players, but returns all the important ones like QB and 4/5 the O-line whereas Vandy lost their QB and RB.

Why do you say this? Bo Wallace threw for over 400 yards against Vandy last year.

Vandy won in Oxford last year without that RB, who got injured on the 3rd play of the game.

I think Vandy is going to be pretty damn good this year. Especially on defense

Franklin was the 4th guy on my list of coaches last year

I put it in a four game parlay. Don't think I'll win anyways but wanted some outside opinions.

Yeah, but Vanderbilt only averaged 2.9 ypc. Considering that Ole Miss' entire secondary is back and should be less prone to collapse, and you're replacing your starting QB and possibly missing your 2nd WR, I doubt the passing game will be as effective.

b/c they're a pretty good defense. They'll be able to stop the run and force Wallace to throw again. He did have success against their secondary last year, but he's turnover prone.... and VU has one of the best DBs in the conference.

Ole Miss averaged 1.4 YPC and is missing their 2nd WR also. I'm very interested to see how Bo does in his first game back from shoulder surgery. Look for Vandy to stuff the run again and force Bo to beat them. ACS is an obvious wild card for Vandy as well. Should be a great game. I'd stay away if I was betting.

If I were a betting man, I'd jump all OVER it...
Just don't think Ole Miss loses to Vandy 3 years in a row...
