Knowing our all knowing athletic director it will probably be Josh Pastner lol. Don't get your hopes up LSU, he might hire Jones.

Will Wade from VCU is the name that seems to get floated around the most in all seriousness....but in all seriousness I could see us really hiring Pastner or some clown that another school wants rid of.

Yeah he is, him and his parents had season tickets at Vandy. Not sure it will matter though. Eddie Fogler is consulting on the search so it will probably be whoever he wants. Our AD is the one that needs to go.

Wade has only been at VCU a year. Vandy is going to have to make it worth his while to jump ship to more dangerous waters that soon.

But he was at Chattanooga for a couple years before that as HC and had success too I think.

3 years of HC experience isn't much to go in when hiring for a SEC coaching gig, but I could see it paying off.

Wade is from Nashville, but went to Clemson. His wife is from Chattanooga, and is friends with my wife. They're expecting a child, so maybe being closer to grandparents/family will be part of the equation.

All that said, VCU is a good job, and Wade had plenty of experience there as an assistant beforehand. He knew the situation when he got there.

I'd be surprised to see him leave so soon, but it is certainly possible.

Is the Belmont coach getting any looks?

Not likely. Rick Byrd is 62 years old and is likely staying put. He wanted the UT job a few years ago but was passed over. I think he'll retire there at Belmont.

Will Wade seems to be the #1 target. VOLS gave him a look last year before landing Barnes

Well it's not going to be Wade.
