The acc will have mediocre teams across the board, which will bump up SOS

If there are no undefeated teams in the SEC, they are in

So because he got Arkansas preview wrong, he's a shitty columnist

You need to check your reading comprehension. I didn't say anything about his preview for Arkansas being wrong. I said he spent way too much focus and space on talking about irrelevant facts of the past and talked very little about what was actually to come in the coming season.

Here's another example of my gripe with Steele's "preview":

quote:

Here's Steele's first sentence under the Ole Miss "quarterbacks" section. Remember, this is supposed to be a preview of the 2011 college football season: "Eli Manning (PS#12) set or tied 47 school records and departed after the '03 ssn (#1DC) and later guided the NYG to a Super Bowl win."

I paid for a preview of 2011! Not to read Eli Manning's wikipedia page for fricks sakes.

Also, he uses so many damn abbreviations that it's like reading another fricking language. I have to keep my finger on the page with the abbreviation chart if I want to ensure I understand everything he's saying.

If he cut out all the shite about anything that happened before 2009 he'd save a hell a lot of space, not have to use so many damn abbreviations, and could have room for more relevant data.

florida state has had pretty easy schedules the past few years, and has lost 4-3 games with it. they are always hyped because of what they did a decade ago, and havent won the mighty ACC in something like 6 years. their recruiting is hyped but they have been taking dumps on the field. i see no reason for them to be getting any kind of preseason nod year in/year out.

Bingo. It is easy to say you have the most information when 90% of the info is copied and pasted off of old stat sheets.

They have had good classes the past decade, they've had great classes the past two years.

He is better than people want to give him credit for. Most people who hate him harp on the few predictions he gets wrong.

FSU = Notre Dame. Every year they 'have' the talent but they are consistent choke artist. LSU will beat Oregon for the national championship.

Over the last 5 years he is the 5th most accurate publication. He still talks about picking LSU has a dark horse in 03 if that tells you anything.

He is one of the best if not the best. Fwiw, had FSU not had the injuries they would have been ALOT better.
