No bumblefrick, I was playing on his "on average" statement. Anyway it does not negate what SVP was saying and what I was saying - UGA doesnt have much to show these days except good recruiting classes and 2-3 guaranteed complete flops a year.

I know it's a cliche but who do you want to hire? I mean somebody you could get, ie not Saban/CUM, there are some good candidate out there, I think some SEC teams struck out by not snatching up Chris Petersen, I'd see him as one of the likely candidates for the next "elite coach". I'm not sure how much of your recruiting success is due to Richt and how much to you just being UGA, either way, you're not in a bad spot, but I don't blame you for wanting to be better either.

I like Richt; he is a good coach and a good recruiter. A few years ago there were some real problems with his staff and players and he fixed them. SVP wasn't picking on GA per se. There are strengths and weaknesses in all our programs. Should Ga have had a natty since he has been coach? Probably so.

UGA hasn't had a Cam Newton walk through those doors yet and Ohio State didn't have t o play in a B1G championship in 2002
