How far of a walk is that? I usually park in the red lot, but I hate the wait getting out.

how is it in location of walking to fan fare and dome?

you just walk down the road about 1-200 yards and a main gate is right on the road

best way to get to coming up from Columbus

best way is coming from the north on northside drive, at least up as far as north ave.(which is an exit on the connector(85/75)) up further might even be better, depends on how early you get there.

exiting the same way

Gameday will most likely be @ Olympic park. That's where they set up for the Kickoff Classic games in the past...

just map quested it, so i assume centennial park isn't a terrible walk from the dome

i guess i should go ahead and buy a parking pass online, anyone know where i could park around there at like 6 and people will be awake and taking money to let me park and stuff?

its not as bad as you would think. We ride marta to all the hawks games and half of the falcons games. the traffic is a nightmare leaving and especially if you leave after the game. you will get home faster and avoid cops in the main areas if you have some beers

It's 10-15 minute walk max from COP to the Dome. Just depends where your tailgate is.

I promise a ton of people will be making the walk if its at COP like I expect.

ETA: I imagine the Philips Arena/CNN Center parking deck will have space that early.

Like i said if you leave after the game you get stuck in not just car traffic but pedestrian(which is the worst part) Marta, they will have trains ready and you might miss one and be crammed for a minute, but it will slowly clear out.

If you dont want to ride all the way up to doraville you might try a closer station to the dome, like lindberg

so you think maybe just drive straight to the dome and see if any of the lots are just selling? i didn't know if they did parking passes or not. otherwise i will just park on the lot that is next to the bridge and GWCC. it's not a far walk and that is where i parked for boise state anyway

i just hate it after braves games but i do remember now being stuck in our parking lot after the game vs boise state for like an hour

pain in the arse getting in and out of those close parking garages...I much prefer the surface lots about a 5-10 minute walk north of the dome, just east of the park.

That's where I parked. It's about 40 a car I want to say. But isn't a bad walk.

thats the pedestrian part. cars can't go anywhere especially out of the lots and in that hour you would have been almost home if not home
