They will come out and say they were going by the chain link. Not the pole or what the link was attached to.

I'm sorry but the gif and the still someone has posted are not convincing enough for the outrage. They're angled views and I think it's very possible the tip of the leather could be on the plane from those angles. You at least can't rule it out.
I want to have fun and be as up in arms as everyone but I think until there's a better angle, it's premature.

Show me a straight on pic. I think it was extremely close fromt hat angle and that the TIP of the ball very possibly met the plane of
the marker.
It's also possible it didn't. I'm just saying the pic doesn't settle it.

Like Obama at a press conference, I'm sure the head of officiating for that conference will come out and say they made the right call.

Yea the refs always want to help out schools like lsu but always seem to have it out for auburn

The spot of the ball to begin with was a joke,but they never showed that replay. The guy appeared to me to land a foot short of where they marked it.
