They would be in over Washington if they were actually doing 4 best teams.

Eh, frick 'em.

Playoff committee would have hosed LSU in 2019 if we lost in Atlanta.

Not one UGA fan is surprised nor heartbroken. We won 2 nattys in a row, and almost a 3rd. No one is hanging their head in shame, and despite some really sketchy calls, no one is blaming refs. Good game

Georgia had everything set up for them and they blew it. Cancel games with anyone who might beat them. Weak SEC East. Media mouthpiece ESPN pushing them.

I do. I’d be a little pissed going 29-0 the last two seasons, back to back national champions, going for the 3 peat, dropping ONE game in 29 to a really good Bama team, then getting left out of the 4 team playoff knowing that you’d probably be favored against any of the other 3 teams.

12 team playoff can’t get here soon enough.

Why was uga not #5 if they're punishing fsu for an injured qb?

That still bugs me. I read something where they put a lot of the decision on the opinion of Jim Grobe and who do you not want to play as the metric for Alabama getting in ahead of FSU. But by that token, Georgia should be ahead of FSU as well.

Yes and no (mainly no). They brought this on themselves.

I’m definitely not a dog fan, but if the committee is going to hide behind the “best” to exclude FSU then no way can they say UGA is not one 9f the 4 best. Michigan shouldn’t be in the top 4 because they’ve played no one. Bama will boat race their archaic version of football.

We will spend a month hearing about Michigans defense, etc, but when they play the speed of Bama on offense and defense will overwhelm them. McCarthy is an average QB, Corum is an average RB, and Michigans WR’s are slow. But, once again, we have to endure the media slobbering all over a BIG team and then on game day they’ll be exposed once again.

Yep. Georgia was #1 all season long. They should have worst case been seeded #3.

At least they aren’t whining and complaining. They aren’t throwing up REF excuses for the loss

If I woke up from a coma, I’d think Bama had beaten LSU out of the playoff.

I'm a fan, and I don't. This team simply wasn't good enough and lost their spot on the field.

That being said, Bama might get a rude awakening as well because this UGA team is not as good at this point in time as the talking heads are giving it credit for, and I think if Bama had improved so much over the course of the year, they would have beaten UGA by more last night and not played teams like Arkansas and TAMU so close.

I think Washington is very underrated because people are forgetting they had plenty of top players hurting in the middle of the season. The month interlude will help them a lot. They also have a good run game. I also think no other conference refs are going to let Bama get away with being as handsy as SEC refs will. Both teams's DBs last night where getting away with a lot of questionable DPIs. Not to mention, no other conference that is likely to ref that game are going to be particularly sympathetic to SEC to begin with.

They feasted on easiest 3 year schedule in history and historically down East.

Since 2021, Georgia has beaten every team that's played in the National Championship game during the CFP era. But it's easier for butt-hurt fans like you to try and create the 'easy' narrative.

If I were a fan of any team other than Georgia damned if I would feel bad for UGA. UGA just ended a historic unbeaten streak, has won 2 natty's back to back and has not lost a regular season game in 3 years. Losing the SEC this year sucks but eerybody loses occasionally...UGA just went longer than anyone ever. Anyone feeling sorry for UGA is pretending or a moron...
