Anyone else think SE Louisiana could give Miss St a game?

SE has some dudes and added some big transfers. They are picked to win the Southland.

I don’t think it will be a cakewalk for State

No. Maybe for a half, but State handles business.

I think we're screwed. We will be lucky to win. Picked last in the SEC by everyone. We will be lucky to beat SELA. Might as well just forfeit the season.

MSU should have the strength and depth to wear a smaller team down in the long run. Sometimes they can make fans sweat it for a half but succumb in the second half.

I'd be surprised if they put up more than 17 points on us.

I can see a 38-17 type of game that's maybe close for a half.

Will Rogers back for his 10th year? Air Raid still in effect?

Sorry buddy. I love my Lions too but you better bring your ear plugs. I predict a lot of cowbell in Davis Wade that night.

Incarnate Word is picked to win the Southland.

SELU isn't a very good defensive team and we took their best defender - Zy Alexander.

if any program can turn a cakewalk into a death march, it's my bulldogs.

Maybe if they were breaking in a new QB, but the Cowboy has way too much experience to let things get sideways.

State wins this one handily.

State inexplicably struggled in some early season games under Leach. SELA is a good team, but State is much better and should control the game.

Not happening.

SELU is 0-4 against the FBS over the past couple years - all blowout losses to teams with losing records. SELU will win the Southland and make the FCS Playoff again though.

Interesting. The FCS coaches poll has UIW ranked 7th vs SELU at 15. Maybe based on OOC games.

Typical anc.

SELU is 0-3 against the FBS since 2021. While it is true all three of their FBS opponents finished with losing records, they were only blown out in one of the three contests, losing the other two by 3 and 17, respectively.

State is going to control this game. I expect them to be as vanilla as possible on offense, given their game against an upstart Arizona team in week two, followed by games against LSU, at South Carolina, and against Alabama. I can see them trying to take the air out of the ball and run the clock.

It won’t be a walkover but state will win.
