The most I see from the rest of us are 7 home games. Did I miss one?

I get that Bama and someone else in the league, can't remember who at the moment, started on a neutral field ... but does anyone else in the league have 8 home games this year?

Still getting the schedule situated, I think it is due to the fact that last year we played a lot of road games.

Makes sense ... in a conference where scheduling never makes sense anymore.

Maybe schedules will begin to make more sense after next season. Y'all will only have 7 in 2014 even with your four open TBA games still unannounced.

Doubt it. aTm is the only school in the league that scheduled 4 cupcakes OOC and got them all at home.

They probably have the easiest SECW schedule by a wide margin. A really wide margin. It's those Big 12 habits.

Oh, scrooster. Please don't get these guys started on that topic.

And we had 6 home games last year. UF, LSU, SHSU, Miz, Arky, and one more.

What's your point?

We had this:

@ Ole Miss
@ La Tech
v. LSU
@ Auburn
@ MSU
@ Alabama

With no bye week.

This year is just the opposite. I don't care if we have a tough schedule, but this back and forth needs to settle into a somewhat moderation at some point.

UGA only has 6 this year...

7 in '12
6 in '11
6 in '10
6 in '09
6 in '08
7 in '07
7 in '06
6 in '05
6 in '04
6 in '03

playing GT as a permanent H&H OOC, UF in Jax. & the H&H's with Col., ASU, oSu & Clem. we rarely get 7 home games much less 8...

Thats why UF only plays FSU so they can have 7 home games every year....

Sounds to me like UGA backed itself into a 6 home game schedule.

Sucks for season ticket holders but assuming most UGA alum live outside of Athens and have to travel somewhat anyway trips to Atl. and Jacksonville aren't so bad.

Well...our new AD is from UF & we've canceled series with Oregon, Louisville & Ohio St. So I think he wants to get us to 7 home games every year too...

I or most UGA fans would not trade the WLOCP for anything...It's a Bowl Game trip for Dawg fans in the middle of the season. Nothing like it anywhere...

Like UGA, SC also has a permanent OOC in Clemson so our OOC scheduling will always be limited as well. Our AD has done a good job of giving us away trips against interesting teams that are in reasonable distance to travel if not at home (Charlotte, Chapel Hill, UNC, Orlando etc.)

With that said I'm envious of UGAs, LSUs, and UTs scheduling sometimes. There is no reason for you guys to travel to the far corners of the country and I doubt SC fans would travel nearly as well as UGA did to ASU and Colorado, or UT did out in Oregon or Cali, or LSU out in Washington but damn I'd love to see SC play a team outside of Dixie land for once.

I believe the furthest we've gone since joining the SEC was @UVA. As an independent it obviously used to be a lot easier. During those decades we traveled to WVU, PSU, So.Cal, Michigan, ND etc.
